Painter, born in Llanystumdwy, Caernarvonshire. He became an articled pupil in county surveyor’s office, Caernarvon, qualified as a chartered surveyor and was promoted eventually to area engineer in Gwynedd County Council’s highways department. Began painting seriously in the mid-1950s. Was made an associate of RCamA in 1969. Showed with NWG, Royal National Eisteddfod, David Griffiths Gallery in Cardiff, Heal’s Mansard Gallery, Tegfryn Gallery in Menai Bridge and elsewhere. WAC holds his work. Lived in Bodffordd, Anglesey. His brother was the artist Gwilym Pritchard.
