Graphic artist Sarah Lightman has worked across a range of practices from drawing to comics, animation and painting, developing a distinctive style in which she often places herself and her life at the centre of the work. She frequently draws on and returns to autobiographical motifs and narratives, and has observed of her work: ‘For me art is an emotional and technical narrative, drawing and writing, how I’m feeling, while teasing the viewer’s assumptions’.
