The work is composed of five abstract forms of polished steel, which according to the artist was to, 'mimic the rippling reflections made on water when its surface is broken by a cylindrical rod… and give the impression of being huge glistening water droplets'. The artist was able to acquire the cylindrical rods and hemispheres of steel from the British Oxygen Company and removed the welding marks to achieve a uniform finish.
