Mold Museum tells the story of Mold and the surrounding area, from the prehistoric era (the display includes a replica of the Mold gold cape held by the British Museum) to the twentieth century. The art displayed includes a portrait of Daniel Owen, a renowned Welsh novelist from Mold, together with re-creations of his study and tailor’s shop.

Mold Library and Museum is open Monday 9.30am–7pm; Tuesday 9.30am–7pm; Wednesday 9.30am–5.30pm; Thursday 9.30am–7pm; Friday 9.30am–7pm; Saturday 9.30am–3pm. Entrance is free. If you are visiting to see a specific painting please contact us to check it is still on display.
