A tall Deco style vase with fish circling under upper ridge and a magnolia matt glaze. In William's early years, his fish designs were often decorated with carp in a distinct Japanese style. This 1930s piece of art pottery shows how the Japanese element has disappeared with fish less definable as a species and appear to float freely, unencumbered by surrounding weeds and swirls.
