A Florian blue slender vase with trees in rolling English landscape, and a chip under the rim. Florian ware was a range that established William Moorcroft as a designer and was created whilst he worked for James Macintyre and Company, Burslem. Macintyre landscape designs, characterised by trees in rolling English landscapes, were first created in shades of blue with tree heights varying to suit the vase. William Moorcroft, the founder of the iconic pottery, set up the company which carries his name with funding from Liberty of London (department store) in 1914.
